When I first got my cat, I was so excited. I thought I would be the best cat owner ever. But then, life happened. I got a new job that required me to travel a lot. I had to move into a smaller apartment. And I started dating someone who was allergic to cats.

All of these things made it really hard for me to give my cat the attention and care she deserved. I felt like I was failing her. And that’s when I started to think about giving her away.
